So i have to lots to update you guys on...I was just at home-two weeks ago for one week. It was so lovely to come home and reconnect with friends and family and just relax and get prepared for my last quarter here in Montana. Since being back now for 2 weeks-i have been sick almost the whole time-and went to the doctor last week and got some medication-and i am getting better now which is a real relief because i have lots of work to be doing. Last week I finished up Kings and Chronicles and this week i did Ecclesiastes and currently i am finishing up Song of Songs. And then next week is onto Job and then to the prophets!!!
Apparently I only have 69 more days here and that is crazy it feels like time flies here-that i only just got here and already will be leaving so soon. It has been so amazing and the people here feel like family and i appreciate everyone so much and just getting up and knowing that you will be surrounded by hundreds of people that love you and love Jesus is just so amazing. And more specifically 60 people in my dorm who are all studying the word-who are tired like me, who are sometime cranky but are learning so much about Jesus together and it is just so amazing and i love it-and continue to thank God for that every single day.
It is crazy to say but I am enjoying the Old Testament so much, i never really knew too much about it before i came-the majority of my reading was always new testament but now i feel like i have the big picture. I just did a big project (and timeline) starting with King David....and then going though the divided kingdom way far....and it was amazing to study each King-see strengths and weaknesses and also to see how the Lord had promised a King far better then David-but from the line of David and that was Jesus--and the people were so hopeful for that and to know that he has already come one time is amazing-He fulfills his promises!!
So some more exciting news is that i have been accepted for Titus Montana in Sept 2011. And basically what the program is-3 months. The first three weeks I am in Montana where i get taught how to teach, how to write a lesson plan, how to teach the inductive method, bible overview and different topics. And then for 2 months i go overseas and I teach--to either churches, pastors, ywam bases-we run seminars for the people to teach them basics about the Bible. I am not sure yet where i will be going-some of the options are south america, nepal and mongolia. I had felt a calling to either Nepal or India but i will not know till August. The teams are really small-2 to 3 students and then one staff to allow the maximum teaching time. I will be really honest and say that this really scares me-going overseas and teaching the Bible-i feel inadequate but at the same time i know that God will be with me every step of the way and like in 2 Corinthians--God's power is made perfect in man's weakness--and that will definitely be m me. BUt yes that is some exciting news and I am currently working on a newsletter and if you would like to get it please email me your email your email or address--however you would prefer to receive it and I will send you one.
Thanks again
and here are a few prayer requests:
-That i continue to get better and feel healthy
-That i will finish strong-only just over 2 months left and i went to do the best i can ever do
-I am in the process of applying for summer jobs and that i can find one.
-That God will continue to teach me things-that i won't feel content with where i am at.
love you all
